PE & SPORT
Physical Education and School Sport is an important part of life at JAS.
All students, irrespective of their ability and sporting talents are encouraged to be a part of our extra-curricular programme and have the opportunity to represent Jebel Ali School in sports fixtures.
Each term we offer a broad and balanced range of activities within our curriculum and extra-curricular programme, this presents students with the opportunity to experience new sports.
Each week all year groups participate in two PE lessons, these are delivered by fully trained PE teachers and supported by specialist sports coaches.
Throughout the academic year, JAS competes in a wide range of the leagues and competitions hosted by DASSA, these start from Year 3 and continue through to Year 13.
The Physical Education (PE) curriculum at JAS encourages all students to lead a healthy, active lifestyle, and plays a vital role in supporting all students with their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
Physical Education supports students to engage in school life and allows each and every student to develop a sense of belonging, and establish positive relationships with their peers.
The PE curriculum at JAS offers a broad and balanced range of activities, including but not limited to; invasion games, net and wall games, swimming, gymnastics, dance, striking and fielding, and athletics.
